New truck owner and I think I want to add a leveling kit. Definitely something that is not in my wheel house of comfortable doing myself I also don't want to get ripped off.

What should this type of mod cost if I have it done by a professional?

What leveling kit are you looking at? Spacers? Coil springs and new shocks? Or an adjustable height shock like Bilstein 5100?

Lol, I have no idea. I am a first time truck owner and all I know is I would like it to be level and not slopped forward.

Well spacer lifts are very cheap. You can buy 2 inch spacers from Rough Country for about $60. You could easily install them yourself in a driveway with no mechanical skills, some basic tools, and a jack. Spacers don’t get a lot of love around here because they are not very good lifts. If you never use it offroad and don’t care much about ride quality, it should work just fine for you.

5100’s are the next step up. They are adjustable height shocks that give you up to 2.5 inches of lift. Most people set them on 1.75” to make the truck sit level. They are a little more pricey at around $200 a pair, and install cost will vary from shop to shop. Read around the site and you see mixed reviews of ride quality and opinions on lifting this way.

The best thing to do is new shocks and coil springs, but it is going to be quite a bit more expensive. The sky is the limit on this one. A cost effective option would be 5100’s set at 0” and some headstrong offroad 2” lift coils.

If you order them together, you can have them assembled before they ship for around $90 and install them yourself very easily.

Or you can have them installed by a shop if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself. Shop prices will vary, so call around.

With any of these, be sure to get an alignment done. Any time you mess with suspension, an alignment is necessary.
