Nope LOL. I'm a little worried if I should clean the millscale off completely before cooking on it though... I have seasoned it a few times with oil now and wiped the crap off as much as possible, but there is some residue still. I see images online and people don't clean it off much at all. I'll just hit it with a brush cup on a 4" angle grinder and call it good after another cleaning/seasoning.

I have made several of those for re-sale. I hit them with a stout wire wheel, coat it with lard, and bake at 400 for 4 hours. Never had a complaint.

Good idea, I was thinking about building a few to resale. These can pull a bit of cash I bet, they are easy.

Someone ran a stick root on it. It was chilling in the test booth so I decided to cover up the ugly.

That was how I found it. I need to practice my left hand next. I’m decent with my right. Hardest part right now is controlling the filler metal pressure without slipping and sticking it to the tungsten or fucking it up

The previous isn't the prettiest, but it's plenty strong.

What do you do to fill a gap like that? Do you change the settings? Just go really slow and work the puddle back and forth?

I would not have done it quite that way.

Running stringer beads up both legs till you can run one up the middle.

Holding the over all dimensions can cause some interesting fitting at times

Then not knowing just what it was for it might not matter

    No change on settings.

Weld down until it's about to burn thru it blow out. Stop, let the puddle cool, then weld side to side until too much heat builds up again. Stop and let it cool again.

In short, it's not a continuous weld.
