I notice in the cabin air filter video that there is a shelf in the glove compartment. My 2018 Tacoma didn't come with one. It is the TRD off road model. Does anyone know if it is supposed to have a shelf?

Yup... ocd sells them on Amazon. Got that plus the center console tray. Both are great!

My 2018 did not come with one. The shelf from Amazon works great but had to trim the right vertical since it was hitting the glovebox door when closed.

I picked up one of the center console trays too. Well worth the $12.00.

I'm ordering a 2019 Pro soon to dump the AT on my OR. I actually like the shelf as a disorganized old man, so will take it out before I pick up the new one and put it in the Pro.

I had to modify the OCD slightly to fit correctly.

Interesting. I didn’t have to do anything to mine.

I noticed when I closed it, the shelf would slightly pop up. After mesing with it I noticed the notch on the far right edge was not deep enough so I used some wire cutters to make it about 1/16" longer and it sits in there fine. Pushing on the shelf would force the right edge to ride up.

Yep, I had to do a little trimming on my shelf for the same reason. When I closed and opened the glove box, I noticed the shelf would move slightly up and down. After trimming - fits perfect!

My 2017 OR had the shelf but I threw it out. Seemed it was more in the way than it was useful. The owner’s manual and other stuff seemed to move around more when the shelf was in. My 2 cents.

I was disgusted with the shelf from day 1. I removed it and everything fits nicely in the glove box.
