Done! (for now) I still have mounting plates I'm going to put on the side, I'm just going to order a different style bolt... Sorry for the bad pictures, my phones almost dead and there's a storm going on.. I'll post better ones later! 20180731_202550.jpg 20180731_202706.jpg 20180731_202714.jpg 20180731_202616.jpg

Thanks! I have access to a laser cutter and a press brake... So it wasn't a backyard build but I did design it and weld it at the house haha

LOL, cheater!!, just jealous. Im working on a wooden topper. would like to do the outside skin in cedar strip with fiberglass and epoxy followed by marine grade varnish. should compliment the Inferno orange nicely.

Looks great OP! We need more people making these. I wish I had your skills.

As someone who has a bed rack, basket, and roof rack let me give you a few suggestions. I'll just echo and expand on what others have brought up in case you start selling.

    1. It would be great to make them go the full length of the bed. I know the bed rails are only so long but you can make the rack go longer on top of the bed sides.

    2. Consider making them a bit taller or shorter based on customer preference, so that if you install an OEM or aftermarket roof rack they can line up with the height of your bed rack. This will greatly assist with placing canoes, kayaks, ladders, etc.

    3. Don't offer to coat them. Avoid the head ache.

    Again great job!

20180803_211410.jpg 20180803_211535.jpgwent ahead and got the bolts from the hardware store for few more bucks rather than ordering them, I couldn't wait anymore. Now to start adding stuff to it!
