    Hello

Do you think it is necessary to fill up the engine oil at the highest level on the dipstick? Mine is in the middle. When i did my engine oil change I bought 5 liters of synthetic 5W30

Should be fine. I always put 5.5 quarts in mine with a new oil filter

Just keep that in mind next time you check your oil. Otherwise you'll think you burned half a quart when that's not the case.

Buy 6 qts or a 5 gal. jug and a single qt. Either way - pour in 1/2 of the 6th qt. Most qt. bottles these days are marked. Next oil change you only need 5 qts. as you'll have 1/2 qt. left over. After that - you are back to 6 qts. and so on - so on.
Use what the owners manual calls for.

5qt. is plenty. Puts my 2gen 1gr just below the top mark, with filter change. If I check it an hour later, it will be on the mark. Manual says do not overfill, for a reason...

The result from overfilling is that the spinning crankshaft can aerate the oil, whip it into a froth or foam as it moves through with each revolution. That oil, with tiny air particles in it, cannot do a proper lubricating job. In severe cases, insufficient oil flow could result in overheating – not a good thing.

who changes the oil but not the filter ?

I can see changing filter at 5K and topping off.....

if you're running 10K mile changes

kinda like taking a dump & not wiping your butt

I prefer in the middle, as you check the oil when temps rise, it goes past "full"

It's not low if its in the middle.

Customers vehicles I always go dead on or 100ml short of full, I keep mine lower and just monitor it.

If you use less oil the change interval should be shorter. Theoretically the oil will get dirty a little quicker if there’s less of it.
