I have a 1972 Epiphone FT 350BL (BL for blonde, carpet and drapes) that I'd put up against any ..and I mean ANY... other acoustic for tone and ring. It was rebuilt by John Bolin of Idaho in 2002, and for some reason it came back as an angel. I played $3000 Martins and Gibsons today and they don't come close.
    In 1972 I paid $350 for it.
