I used to hate on Toyota trucks, especially Tacoma’s, but I decided to test drive one after hearing good things about them. Now I’m happy to say I’ve made the switch to Toyota trucks. I couldn’t be happier with my Tacoma

I used to hate on non American trucks. The turning point for me was when I realized every “American” truck I owned was made in Mexico and would give me a ton of problems once I crossed that 100k mile mark.

My buddy bought a tundra and it seems to be very well built and will last him a while. My Tacoma has 67k miles on her but there’s no doubt in my mind I can’t get 200k out of her

I used to get into this argument with my family from the Midwest...they're mostly all about Ford which makes sense since a couple of them work at the Missouri plant. But I'd argue that Toyota creates just as many if not more American jobs building and selling vehicles here as well, so it's really a moot point. Glad to hear you've come around, enjoy your Tacoma!

Be warned...this site will convince you to spend a lot of money on your truck...

Always nice when someone comes to their senses. Good thing you avoided the 3rd gen for your first impression...

I got a hell of a deal on her.

25k for the truck which is had 64,xxx miles at the time of purchase. All the bells and whistles, sr5 and trd package, 4x4. The dealership said they original owner spent 7k on mods and upgrades.

The icing on the cake was that the dealership gave me 8k as a trade in for my Dodge Ram that was dented to hell and Kelly Blue Book said should yield 5 to 6k as a trade in.

I’m generally a simple man with simple pleasures, but with the deal I got on it I couldn’t help but treat myself and get it.

That's actually a great life lesson for things other than trucks too.

It's prudent to evaluate everything we 'hate', because in many cases our logic is flawed.
