Chevy is always an option, they have that VERY useful bumper step that gives you about a 1” advantage over just stepping on the bumper itself....

Yeah, Taco all day everyday for me. Buy a truck for what it was designed for, if not you will be disappointed.

Complaining is not going to solve problems!
We all love our Tacos no matter what, if your transmission is hunting for gears then let the dealer know and will upload the latest transmission program. All your other issues are whinny, I'm vertically challenged and have NO issues with the hood scoop

Complaining is not going to solve problems!:sadviolin: We all love our Tacos no matter what!!

If your transmission is hunting for gears then let the dealer know and they will upload (flash) the latest transmission program.

All your other issues are whinny at best:sorry: but that's how I feel.

I'm vertically challenged and have NO issues with the hood scoop, nor does my wife that's 5'-2" tall. Prior to purchasing our beautiful Taco we test drove evry truck on the lot and then decided to go with sport and NO regrets.

BTW - Welcome to TacomaWorld where people love their Tacos! Now how about some pics of your '18 sport and I'm sure one of our members will trade for your scoop hood.

People need to stop saying this. You may not like the tuning of the engine, but it has nothing to do with displacement.

I drive a Ford 2.7L V6 ecoboost for work, and that truck would blow the doors off any Tacoma. Even fully laden it has an impressive amount of chooch. The 2.7L F150 has way more get up and go than even my last work truck that was an F350 with a 5.4L V8. The lame 5.4L F350 would make the Tacoma look like a sports car. The F350 was summarily the most gutless vehicle I ever was forced to drive.

So, if you take issue with the truck, it’s not due to .5L of lost displacement, just the way Toyota chooses to tune the engine and transmission combo. There was nothing stopping them from turboing it, or other means of creating more power. They simply chose not to, because they do not care about you, or me.
