New Guy on the Block from SF Bay Area

    Well, finally made myself legit after being a stalker for awhile. Had a '04 Tacoma DCSB PreRunner with 155k, loved it, stone reliable, made the leap into a '18 DCSB SR5 4x4 two weeks ago. Can't say I loved it right out of the chute, had 14 years in the same truck, but its growing on me.
    Bought an SR5 as I couldn't see paying for a TRD suspension, when I plan on a new suspension with a 2" lift and some other mods. Getting older (almost 60), coming off dirt bikes. I don't bounce as well as I used to, so switching up to some mild four-wheeling.
    So far, up over the Sierras two days ago on H88, out to Reno, 283 miles netted me 23.9mpg. Coming home from Reno on H80, 207 miles, 25.8 mpg. I double checked against on-board computer, all good. Seems too good to be true, but I'll take it.

    Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I've already ordered the parts for the speaker upgrades that I came across here. It's good to have a place where you can research various aspects on your vehicle by some very knowledgeable people who have been there and done that. I'll post a photo of my truck as soon as my technology challenged butt can figure it out.
