    Hello everyone in tacoma land.
I am new to this group site. My name is Andy and I live in Vermont. I have a 2017 Tacoma access cab. Its a manual so off roading will be fun at times. I have experience with manuals and off road before so its not anything new. I haven't been off roading in quite some time. I was part of a group called Northeast Explorers, and had a 1994 Ford explorer that I went many places and did some group trips.

i am married and have 2 kids (3rd on the way in December). Being married with kids will limit my ability to get away from home for too long, but it also will help bring good times and memories with my kids when I do go off road. Up here in Vermont where I live access to trails is becoming scarce due to land owners and previous experiences where others have destroyed trails leading to the trail closures. I'm not sure if that's the same with some of you.

I am into trail riding and not so much "mudding." I think mud makes a mess and destroys vehicles faster. A little mud is ok, but its the challenge of the terrian that excites me.
My truck has no modifications yet but I am interested in some ideas as some firsts. not sure what some of you might recommend but I am thinking bigger tires and a small lift might be first.

I am excited to be part of this group. I'd also be interested to see who else might be from my area. Thanks for letting me be a part of this group. Best to all. Be well.

Yea I wanted a "cool looking" photo so I tried to make it look artsy. It's a inverted color shot.

Here are a couple dealership shots of it.
All stock except black painted wheels.

    And here's me at walmart:

Can someone tell me why the suggested mods? What's the benefit? Or direct me to the right thread.
    Thanks everyone!
