About to pickup my 20155 TE that does not have KDSS. It's currently sitting stock height as well, and I'd like to change that asap. I want to put some miles on the stock suspension to see if/what I really need to improve on it (planning to hit some decent trails, but probably never doing any crawling or intense terrain).

I had a Rough Country level kit on my last T4R and loved the look. Would it be bad to do the same to my TE(maybe even a 3inch lift) and do the suspension later on? Would that RC lift/money just be wasted?

(FYI I did so some searching through the threads for similar posts)

I would just test it out in stock form for a while, evaluate what you really need or want. I wouldn’t do some cheap lift with plans to rip it out later for better suspension. Just save $$ for the better setup you want, wheel it now, and just do the lift/suspension once, how you really want it. You already paid for the stock setup, get your moneys worth while you figure out what setup you want!
