    Hello All
FYI - I tried searching issues with climate control however everything that came up was for bad resistor packs or burnt out connectors...

I seem to be having a climate control issue on the warmer days were the A/C is running longer or I have been sitting in the truck with the A/C on.

I did pull the climate control panel to check the connectors on the back along with the Resistor and Blower motor connectors as I thought that was the first concern. I cleaned out the air filter as well. The blower motor spins smoothly and everything seems to be functioning fine.

All the fan speeds function fine for climate control - granted the "Hi" setting isn't as good as other vehicles I have owned I just figured it was the nature of the beast with this truck.

    Issue:
After sitting with the A/C on for a while (I can't for the life of me get it to repeat itself) the Climate Control Recirculation button will turn itself on and will not turn off - even if I turn off the A/C and or the fan speed. I will get a burnt electrical smell inside the truck coming through the vents.

Yesterday it got to the point when I turned off the climate control altogether smoke (or maybe frosty air?? It was super humid out) started to come out of the center vent to the left of the radio and eventually went away.

I cycled the ignition and proceeded to turn it back on and the recirculation light turned on/off fine but after about 3 minutes it kicked back on and something started to smell again. I can confirm that the system will switch to recirc when the light comes on - I just don't get how it's automatically switching on and why it only does it when the weather is super hot/muggy.

I'm not entirely sure where to look as I'm not familiar with how the system functions but has anyone had this issue before? Like I had mentioned the connectors for everything looks fine.

I appreciate the help and thank you for reading this fairly long winded post...
