Ok, what am I missing here?

On the "auto" setting my DRLs come on when I start the truck and it's light out, and they go off when I turn the truck off.

On the "auto" setting my headlights and fog lights come on when I start the truck and it's dark out, and they go off - never - unless I turn them off manually.

Aren't they supposed to shut off automatically after 30 seconds? I went into the vehicles settings screen and thought I set them to 30 seconds anyway.

Please help a noob owner out. Thanks.

Do you have something covering the sensor? Passenger side next to the tweeter speaker

I think he means he shuts the truck off and the lights don't turn off.

Yes. I turn off the truck and the lights stay on, indefinitely

My truck does this too. I've just gotten into the habit of turning them off before i turn off the truck. 2nd gen here.

I don't remember there being a setting (also never looked), and I imagine you've waiting for many minutes to verify... bring it to the 'ol dealership.

There's a setting in the display on entune that you can select how long you want then to stay on after you turn the truck off. You can then just leave it in the auto position without ever touching it.

It won't show up when you are driving. You have to be in park for it to display.

I thought I did this, set them to 30 seconds. I left them on for 20 minutes and they didn't go off. Meh.

Just lock the doors with the fob ... thats what I have to do. I double tap the lock and they turn off.

I'd take it in. Sounds like there's a relay that's not working properly. I'd double check to make sure it reads 30 seconds and didn't get reset somehow.

I went out in the driveway and ran through the whole setup process again. I tried it a few times, tried locking with the fob, without the fob, leaving it unlocked...

They just will not turn off by themselves no matter what. I can't be the only guy with a 3rd Gen Tacoma that this has happened to can I? Lol

    Mystery solved.

I just got back from the dealership. Apparently the previous owner or someone else had unplugged the "courtesy switch", whatever that is. Lights work as intended now. All good.

I also had them perform TSB 0062-18 to fix the stumble. I could literally tell a difference in throttle response before I even got out of the parking lot. Also all good.
