are we talking front and rear, or mainly rear.... toytec has a option for shock extenders 10 bucks apiece. only for the looks people only. I wouldn;t go too hard off road with them....

    OME shocks.

You CAN run stocks with a 3" lift, but the ride will not be very nice and suspension travel (Flex) will be limited.

i sent in this question to toytec and this is the response i got...

Hi for your guys OME3-05-AL-884 - BEST SELLER! 3" Lift w/light front coils & rear, i was just curious if i put this lift kit on do i need to buy any other type of shocks or support in order to install this or does the package come with everything i need?

Answer: You should not need anything else for a basic lift.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
on the 07 i had 2.5" spacers up front, the tsb and 2" blocks out back and the shocks would fully extend while going over speed bumps. i threw on a set of chock extenders in the rear and it stopped. also took that setup off road a few times w/ no probs.
