It’s officially too hot to be working with no shade... 90* and 75% humidity. I feel very much the same way I imagine Potato’s do being broiled...

Yeah if I take the scenic route up from MA, I pass by the lake there. Magalloway has some pools that hold very large fish. He hooked into one the same size or a little bigger the following day that broke him off immediately. We were all shocked he could land that one on a 5 weight since it sprinted across the current when he hooked into it. We almost always park at the power station at the start of the river and hike across and downstream.

    @DrFunker

This monster was caught on the swift a few summers ago, probably around 5 pounds, super fat fish. The state came through and shocked the river to tag and study some of the fish. Said they found a 16-17 pound fish in the upper portion of the river

This is the monster I keep going back to the Swift in search of. I could talk about fishing all day

Generally contract employees are paid significantly more than actual employees for that reason. We had a part time tech who was a contract employee, so he got no benefits. We just hired an actual full time employee in his place since he retired and their hourly rate is about half of what his was. Even still, the position is more expensive than his due to benefits.

We need to organize a tacoworld cook off/camping event. A lot of talk and pictures on here about cooking, I'd love to see a cook-off. Not sure what we would use as a prize, but I am sure we could come up with some stuff.

I bet we could break that down further into the cost per finale. It might have been cheaper to rent!

Anyone interested in buying my truck? 61FD29E8-9712-49F0-A76E-7A6D787E7667.jpg
It’s for sale. Make an offer.

130k on the clock roughly figuring in larger tires.

    -Total chaos uca’s
    -Dirt king boxed lca’s
    -Icon 2.5 Coilovers rr
-Custom built icon 2.0 rr shocks for the rear
    -all pro expo leaf packs
    -ato shackle flip kit
    -all pro u bolt flip
-all pro ss brake lines on all 4 corners
-timbren bump stops for the rear
    -wheelers superbumps for the front
-ebc green stuff brake pads up front
-5x 35” cooper st max on 16” steel wheels

    -BAMF sliders
    -front plate bumper by me
    -rear plate bumper by me
-ladder rack by me not included

    -jba shorty headers
    -custom exhaust w/cat delete
    -urd short throw shifter

Here’s everything wrong with it. That I know of. Could be more.

-Right rear shock is leaking. Icon is shit apparently.
-4wd keeps breaking since frame replacement.
    -Radio shit the bed
    -Drivers side mirror fell out...
-Dents from work and daily abuse.
    -paint is... there
    -TOB is gonzo
-clutch is on its last legs

This island kills vehicles. Lots of washboard roads and salty environment. It’s falling apart faster than I can fix it myself or afford to have it worked on. Too much shit in my life to give it the attention it needs/ get it to a state where I’m not having to take something apart and fix it every other day it seems.

The prize can be bragging rights. The consolation prize is getting to eat the food!

With a typical bell curve of "post honeymoon bliss" to "pre-divorce hatred" I'm sure that a rental would have been cheaper per sexy time.

(especially in that part of NH....)

Not sure yet. If I can get the financing the ram 2500 tradesmen reg cab with the 6.7 Cummins and 6speed manual. Bare bones. Just need a work truck I can beat the piss out of and tow all the crap I have to.

    I’m done with toys.
