When some yahoo decides to drive roughly 30 inches behind me on the highway. At work, I sometimes drive an F350 with an aftermarket dump box in place of the bed. The rear bumper is basically just a thick, monolithic plate of steel. Earlier this week, I had someone in a 90s Civic following me so closely that I could barely see him in my rear view mirror (it's a pretty tall truck, but still). If I had to hit the brakes suddenly, that car would be in the scrapyard. It's just dumb to drive so close to the guy in front of you.

Also, people who don't move when they get a green light because they're on their phone or whatever. Pay attention to what you're doing.

When i'm driving, listening to the radio and hear a sound effect like an ambulance/police siren or a vehicle horn...should be banned.

Yeah, it pisses me off bc it unneccesarily distracts me. If it is the real thing, it has a genuine purpose.

Local rant... but I'm sure this will apply elsewhere.

Walton County FL spent millions of dollars building a fancy paved bike/walking trail down the main stretch of a major highway... to alleviate pedestrian traffic in a popular tourist area.

So... instead of spending money to widen or resurface the highway they decided oh we need a seperate path...

That's annoying enough but what really grinds my gears is when people refuse to use it.

What is really grinding my gears right now is how you're treated like a criminal by some people in the medical profession for a worker's comp claim.

So many scumbags abuse the system. You'd be surprised how many file claims then get a second job while they collect.

Sadly, the abuse just makes it harder on the legitimate people.

Hilarious. I tell my wife the same thing about that damned shower curtain.

Also, if you put a little salt in the water when you boil your eggs, it makes them a lot easier to peel.

Theres one where I live that are two round abouts connected by an overpass bridge. Driving around one and over a bridge into the other, takes you in front of exiting freeway traffic thats only slow down is a yield sign. Even with clear vision from both drivers on the round about and the ones exiting the freeway, the freeway drivers blow passed thenyield and have nearly tboned my wife and I more times than I should even have to mention.

Damn man. It seems that there are drivers that dont know what to do once they are in the rounabout. Sometimes I see people stopping while in it. This is probably mostly due to our road systems having fewer rounabouts. If you go to australia and european countries, they have rounadabouts everywhere. Pretty smart if you ask me.

Roundabouts in CA are pretty much a free for all, few people understand how to use them or what they're for. I hate using them for that reason, never know if someone's going to come flying in thinking they have the right of way and plow right into you. Luckily they aren't very common out here

Just to add another "grinds my gears" moment, drivers that are on an 4-way intersection with a flashing red signal lights.
