I spent hours researching this so here's some photo comparisons of Stock vs Wheels+Tires vs Suspension

    Stock: 2016 TRD Sport
    Wheels: Fuel Vector 17x8.5-6
    Tires: Nitto Ridge Grapplers 265/70/17
    Front: 5100's @ 0 setting + OME 2885s + Taco Lean spacer + ECGS bushing
    Rear: 5100's + 1.5" Blocks

I also removed the air dam which I very much enjoy the improved look

Fuel Economy went from 20 to 17
Road Noise went from 80 to 81 dB, so no noticeable difference

    Shout outs:
Wheels and Tires - Matt @Discount Tire Direct reached out to me via PM and handled everything through this forum. His prices were the best around and his communication was phenomenal. He answered all my questions and kept me informed through EVERY step in the ordering/shipping process

Suspension - Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road. Her reputation is legit. Absolutely terrific service. I had an install scheduled and time was very tight and the product was built and delivered well ahead of schedule. Also the best prices around

ECGS Tool - @abqnurse80 thank you so much for trusting me to rent the removal and install tool!

Looks great! I appreciate the before and after pics. I’ve got 265/70/17s and no lift, but I’m considering doing a 1-1.5 inch lift in the near future. Your pics help me envision what it would look like which is very helpful.

@JRH_Tacoma - glad these photos are helpful. my reaction to the photos is that 'wow the lift looks sooo much better', though ill be honest that my real life impression was not so dramatic. i was really pleased w/ the stock ride on the new wheels. so much so that i almost cancelled the suspension. so take the photo compare w/ a grain of salt :) enjoy your ride as-is and if/when you go w/ the lift i'm sure you will be pleased even more so.

i didnt measure stock:annoyed:. i did measure new wheels vs new suspension but im withholding sharing since the numbers dont make sense (1" on all 4 corners). expecting 1.75" front, 1.5" rear. i think it's because i'm parked on a slope w/ full tank.

Looks great!!! I'm not really a 3rd gen fan but after seeing you do exactly what I would want to do to one I think I see them in a new light. If that's not enough I don't like blue or short beds but I guarantee I would rubber neck when passing you on the street! Truck looks and stands great. Congrats on the build!

This is really helpful. Would this same setup work well for a 2nd gen?

Is your current MPG based on new tires re-calculated to speedometer?

Also a question to throw out, at what point do you need to adjust speedo? Anything over stock? Thanks!

I am new and apparently a novice what is the air dam? I’m gonna take a stab and say it’s that black flap underneath the front bumper at the very bottom? Let me know please. Also I’m curious about the ride I had a 2012 F150 FX4 and I did a similar lift 2 inch in the front and 1 1/2 half in the back to level it out and it never rode the same again just curious if you could tell a big difference? Also going to bigger tires and lifting, is it causing the transmission to shift out of overdrive more than normal on the highway? I think mine shifts too damn much out of overdrive on the interstate.
Can you explain a little more about the lift I’m guessing the 5100s or Bilstein shocks but I’m not sure about the OEM the bushing and the other stuff, if you could explain that for me or just send me a PM personally that would be fine Thanks for your help I appreciate it very much.

Why do those tires look so ginormous next to the stockers, isn't there only supposed to be a 1 inch difference between those sizes?

Airdam is a fuel efficiency piece that increase aero dynamics. Yes it's under front bumper.
Modified suspension feels no different than stock. In fact, I'm motivated to say it drives more smooth on the road now but it's all very subjective.
Trans has often struggled to find the right gear for me both on highway cruise and downhill descent. I haven't noticed a difference after mods.
The bushings you should research yourself. I replaced mine w/ the lift per my own research and have no issues. You will find many other results from those w/ the stock bushings. Take my results with a grain of salt.

I didn't take a tape to them both but I agree the pics do make it look much more than 1"

I like the ‘don’t tip over’ mandatory sticker on those wheels. Are they that tall they require a disclaimer?
