    Hi,

    My son just bought his first vehicle - a 1999 Red Toyota Tacoma. We're super excited to learn how to work on it together and take advantage of this great community. We're auto mechanic novices, but have done a lot of home projects. Just looking at the videos and DIY projects on the forum has inspired us. We already have our first project lined up - replacing valve stem seals as we now have smoke out the tailpipe. Here we go!

    We are in Seattle, Washington. Body is in great shape, new hood and mostly re-built motor. Disappointed that it started smoking only a few weeks after getting it. I'm hoping it's just valve stem seals.
