Definitely look different. I have the shorter ones, as well. But removed all when I went to high clearance bumpers.

The spindles are cst. And from what I can tell so far. They are good. My wheel back spacing is wicked close with the 18s. And 285s. I'm planning on going with a set of 16s with 255/85s. Or a set of 17s with 265/70s. What ever stays a 33 and moves the tire and wheel away from the spindle. Anyone in Colorado wanna trade me wheels? I'm also very against wheel spacers on these wheels due to the size and load from the 285/65/18s.

mine had a toolbox on it when I bought it. it was pretty handy and it locked. it did eat into the short bed space tho. I used one of those rubber rooftop bags (like this https://www.amazon.com/RoofBag-Car-...-2-spons&keywords=rooftop+cargo+carrier&psc=1) for the bed if I needed to keep other stuff dry. worked pretty well, but not perfect. I managed to break the lock mechanism on the box tho, so it was unusable. Got a trifold tonneau after, and it is (in my opinion) waaaaaaaay better. To be honest tho, tonneau was the long term plan anyway, I just used the box cuz it came on the truck. my 2 cents.

I love my tonneau cover, and for $194 delivered to my door you can't beat it. (Amazon open box special) But I also put a lot of stuff in my bed. Camp chairs, golf clubs, kids soccer and baseball bags. Sometimes i pull the kids car seats out and throw them back there. Plus it takes less than 5 minutes to remove it when i need to haul something. I would however like to have a few more tools on hand, but ive minimilized it to whatever i can keep under or behind my back seat.

Did you relocate your secondary air pump in order to fit the TRD intake?

Purchased a paint matched spruce Mica from camelback Toyota. Unfortunately we have a large amount of smoke in the air here in CA so it is kinda hard to tell.

So how do these mud flaps allow for a larger tire size, does not the wheel opening dictate tire size allowed? If anything these subtract 1/4" from the wheel opening due to the protruding bolts. Off-setting the flaps 1" beyond the opening does nothing to increase tire size, what am I missing?o_O

Stock mudflaps stick pretty far forward from the opening of the wheel well. My 265/75r16s rubbed with 1.5" spacers. (Not a big tire by any means). These move the mud flap back outside the wheel well (Minus the bolts) so a larger tire can be run while still keeping mud flaps.

Mud flaps and that little wind wing on the front of the wheel well are the first things to rub when adding larger tires or more poke.

If you look closely, you'll see that the front flaps are actually outside of the wheel well rather than inside the wheel well like factory or other after-market mud flaps. The only thing inside the wheel well are very thin metal brackets (less than 1/16th inch) that screw into the factory mounting holes.

So for all practical purposes, the space taken up by the factory flaps is freed up and you get about an extra inch of clearance.

Before I did any cutting I did a search to see if anyone had posted this mod and did not find your post. Because I found nothing, I picked up a used cap at a salvage yard cause I was afraid of making a bad cut and didn’t know what to expect. As you probably know there were a lot of reinforcement rids in there. I see you have some sealant in there. What did you use cause the ones I tried to use all oozed out so I used two layers of wood workers double stick tape? I also see a small white button. Is that a light button by chance?
