Not starting anything, but the roads weren't closed. Not even close to scientific. If they were behind someone slow (which they were at times) and couldn't get in the other lane to pass, it throws everything out the window. The 3rd gen may pull up it faster, you just can't take that tests word for it.

2018 dcsb or brought with 5km (Canada) now has 200km and no hunting, very smooth shifting and enjoyable.

I'm on day four with my new Taco OR short bed 4x4 auto and I feel like I made the right choice. It seems a little anxious to go from first to third, but I'd rather have than than shifting my own again.

This thread is pretty much done now that the TSB is out to fix the shifting issues.

So there’s a TSB for the 2018’s as well? I test drove 1 with 10 miles last week and it seemed to hunt gears a bit just going up a highway overpass. I’d really like ti buy new & not a 2015. 4x4 either one. I have an ‘08 and like how it drives but want a newer truck.

Yeah. The new TSB affects all 3rd gen. Just take it in and tell them you want the TSB. Since you are in FL, they may try to tell you that you aren't in a high elevation. Just tell them that you take trips to high elevation and want the TSB done. They really shouldn't argue about it.

    Thanks for the info.

Do you happen to know what the TSB number/name is?
Or do I just ask for the transmission shifting TSB?

Slow day at work so read most of it so far. It looks very promising!

I may end up waiting until end of this year to buy so who knows, they may all be updated by then but I will request it either way. The best time to have it done is when you are buying. That’s when they wanna make you happy the most. Even if it takes them a day or 2. No hurry.
