    Hi Folks!,

I have a 2017 TRD OR and am experiencing a buzzing vibration in the wheel and pedal when accelorating through 2k-2500 rpms. Also is constant when I hover in that range -- 5th gear 70mph for instance.

I took it to the dealership and they said thats normal which I think is bullshit!. My buddy has a 2018 and his does not do that at all.

The truck is stock and has no extra lift.

It's driving me crazy, please help!

I'm pretty sure there's a TSB for this. Let me look for a minute.

Thanks guys. Looks like the Original post on the tread states the same thing but the replies are centered around that persons tires and alignment. Its definitely driveline related in my case. I can be sitting in park and rev my engine and as soon as it gets to 2000/2500 rpms it gives me the same vibrations.

Got it, will keep digging. Someone on another thread mentioned it could be the needle bearing and to see if I get the vibrations in 4Hi. Will try that out when im on my way home from work today.

Did you take yours to the dealer too? If so what BS did they give you?

You can put what I think they call a sound clip on the exhaust which changes the resonant frequency and try that. I've seen them on some Lexus.
I'll look for a link later.

If you're in park and it's still doing it, it's not drive line or needle bearing related.

Nice that the 18's don't do it, wonder why though? We've been trying to find the root cause for
3 yrs. and nothing so far.

I never found resolution for mine. Those, like me that have tried different things had little to no success.
My initial thought was our cheap engine mounts and when I said that to the service advisor when
I was there for another issue, he had his master tech look at it and he said the same exact thing
but I never checked into what it would be to replace them and if it still vibed that would've sucked
after forking over the cash for the mounts and install.

Thats true that would suck if you spent the money and it didnt work out. I have an appointment this weekend with toyota. going to bring my findings to them and see if they can make it work. my truck is still under factory warranty. If they do it and it works, I'll let you know!

thanks man, look forward to hearing something. after 3 years, it's not there much and I equate that
to just getting used to it at this point. If I recall it was well over 400 for the mounts and no way I was
doing that on a "maybe" it'll fix it.

I bought that Lexus part for my 2018 Tacoma. I am going to attach it to the passenger leaf pack and see if it helps with the rear diff howl. It’s an exhaust dampener for the Lexus issue. Not sure if it will help with the howl, but I’ll find out one of these days.

I bought that black exhaust damper. Pretty sure 2016Tacoman is talking about that part as well.

    That's it.
Interesting idea to try it on the leaf pack. Brilliant thinking.

Thanks! To me the howl sounds like it comes from the passenger side more than the driver. We shall see if it actually works. Not holding my breath ha I probably won’t get around to installing it until after bow season (early fall).
