OME SPRING INSTALL (PLEASE HELP)

    What in the world am I doing wrong.
    I can't get this bolt to line up. The arrow is pointing forward. Any help is appreciated.

    That's the one that always gives me trouble too. Ratchet straps are your friend...gotta nudge the axle in the right direction to get the spring to line up. Or have someone else with a pry bar try to force the main eye down to line it up while you try to push the bolt through.

    Other option would be to do that bolt first before you do the u-bolts and shackle bolts. I don't know about 2nd gens but on 1st gens the shackles can be moved around freely and are easy to line up. Might still need to use ratchet straps though to pull the axle into place so that the center pin lines up. Takes some trail and error but you'll get it. Definitely more of a pain to do solo but not impossible.

    All the things...click the link in sig
    do the front bolt first, then get your shackle in, keep everything loose, then get the u-bolts to pull the axle to the springs
