    hello everyone

After reading some threads and watching some videos I have some burning questions for anyone willing to point me in the right direction.

What parts do I need to complete this job and what wiring is needed for my application?

I have a base model 2015 double cab 4cyl Tacoma. No navigation if that makes any difference.

I have opened up my tailgate panel in order to take some pictures of the existing wiring behind the tailgate latch and underneath my tailgate to show the wiring that currently runs through from the tailgate latch to the main wiring harness.

My goal is to have my main touch screen rear view camera for reverse gear.

Parts numbers for the camera and any advice is welcome. Below are pictures of my current setup.

    Thanks!

My 2015 AC Base was pre-wired for the rear back-up camera. I purchased a Toyota camera off of eBay and it was plug-n-play.

Did you have to splice any wires or update any software? The camera just started working after installation?

Well I’ll post pics of progress once I get parts in. I have watched some YouTube videos that make the job seem very easy. I’ve purchased a pop and lock tailgate handle as well as a plug and play camera for the tailgate. Hopefully all goes well. More to come soon

Well it seems not much interest in this thread because it’s so easy or obvious to most. I just want to report back that this install of both the new door handle pop and lock style as well as the backup camera were very very easy to install. It actually was as easy as the YouTube videos made it look. Took me 15 minutes and presto. Backup camera immediately worked with no other mods needed. All prewired. Lock worked well after coding it as instructed.
