Im currently in the process of putting a pair of Infinity Primus components in my front doors (already put a set of kickers in the rear to fill) and currently have the new 6x9s and old tweeters in the door, the new tweeters are still in the box. My question is, if I were to simply buy the tweeter harness from ********* and wire it straight to the new tweeters without using the crossovers from Infinity: A) Would the sound quality be affected? and B) Is it even worth trying or should I just wire it like they show in the ********* videos? I'm thinking I'll probably wind up adding a 4 channel amp at some point in the future if that's worth anything. Thanks in advance.

If you wire them up without connecting them to the infinity crossover, they’re going to blow immediately. They are designed to play high frequencies and the moment any amount of mid/low audio plays through them, they’re done for.

So the purpose of component speakers is to use the crossover box that comes with them. The crossover splits the sound spectrum so that the speakers only get the sound spectrum they were designed to play. This give you a way better sound over coaxial speakers.

And yeah if you try to play the full sound spectrum through your tweeters they are going to blow! you can install inline crossovers on each speaker if you want to go that route...
