Anyone thinking about solar should read the contract. Carefully. Very carefully.

It may include a lien on your house that carries over when you sell it. May not cover leaks caused by their install. Etc, etc.. The worst is you are effectively renting your roof to the company for very little in return.

    So read carefully.

Yeah, I got down on the river bank in West Sac near tower bridge. Came north up the river, then turned east and south and crossed over Capitol Mall. F18s were struggling to go slow enough....

SWEEETTTTT! Did you go 4.88's? I was on ECGS's website today and looking at how much it will cost. Looks like with locker it will be around 2500 with front locker. I am planning on doing the gears myself. Did you do them yourself or you did you get the pre-assembled ones?

Dang the install kit cost more than the gears.

I wonder how much you could recycle from your current gears. Bearings are still probably ok. Truck is still pretty new.

Seals should probably be replaced but I bet rock auto has them.

Also setting up gears isn’t too hard just need to be meticulous and patient. And be willing to set them up and break them down at least three times (on average) but probably more...

Also make sure you have the right tools (backlash gauge).

Master install kit is way too expensive! I am debating whether if I should go with the full kit or mini kit. Main reason I wanted to do full kit was because I will have the whole thing apart, so might as well install all the new bearings. I haven't done it before and it will be my first time. I have been reading how it online and watching videos and seems like its isn't too bad. My friend has all the tools needed so I don't have to buy anything except the gears and install kit.

I would leave that shit to the pros. Its one of those things that if you don’t do it just right it will cost you a helluva lot more than you saved by doing it yourself.
Also, ecgs has a pretty decent warranty and they are the best in the game. Highly recommend. They did my front/rear gears and lockers

I have been contemplating whether I should go with pre-assembled ECGS stuff or not. It is not about saving money. I want to learn how to do it. I enjoy working on cars and gears seems to be one of the biggest ghosts around when working on cars. After doing lot of research and reading, I don't think it is a that big of deal as long as you are patient and have the right tools to measure backlash, depth and bearing preload and stuff. But, we will see which route I go. Since, truck isn't my daily driver I am not too worried about messing up the gears. I might even go with 5.29's instead of 4.88's just because turd gen sucks that much.
