Testing waters on a Longbed Softopper for 2nd gens.

I was running this on my third gen for 2 months but then ended up buying a rack and RTT so this may end up staying in my garage from here on out. I am debating keeping it in case I don’t like the RTT life thus the testing waters feeler.

The topper has served me well and I camped in it about 4 times already. It does have its fair share dusty trips as the rear window panel is hazing and has some small slits (3) but they do not effect functionality at all. I have washed the rig with the topper on and no water had passed though the slits. They can also be easily repaired if you are creative enough but I never got around to it as it’s not even meant for a 3rd gen fitment. Softopper also sells replacement windows from my understanding.

I did do some temporary wiring of some LED string lights on the inside that can also be turned on and off via remote control for camping at night.

All zippers, buttons, straps, and latches work great.

More pics to come. Looking to get 400 for the topper, rails, string light and remote, and whatever weather stripping I have left.

I will keep it in mind. It's just such an odd shape that it will be a PITA to ship out. I don't have a problem lugging all the stuff to a shipper and have someone pay shipping costs but idk how much it would be for something like this.
