I just want to hear opinions on what's the right way to go: get a camper shell or a Tonneau cover. I snowboard weekly during the winter as well as do a decent amount of camping: whether that be off the grid camping or camping at music festivals. I was always fond of the idea of creating a sleeping platform in the truck bed once I got one, but I'm also not against tent camping considering I have this truck bed tent (see image).

Just want everyones opinions/pros/cons on each of them! anything helps, thanks

NOTE: i have a quicksand taco, so any preferences on brands/styles that accommodate my color is super helpful. I've also noticed a few quicksands that have black shells and I think it's pretty sick as well so might lean towards that.

This is like comparing a Camry to a Tacoma. Different tools for different uses. Maybe get both and switch between them as needed.

Personally, I hate the black shells on quicksand. Just recently sold my shell in prep to sell my truck, but quicksand is money.
