Just a word of caution. I bought a $500 gun safe from Sports Authority that after a few weeks the combination mechanism fell off inside with it locked. It took me 5 minutes with 2 crowbars to open it up. They offered me another one but I took the money and got a $2500 one from American Safe Co.
    Pricey but I feel better.

Congrats on the safe. You are going to love the peace of mind it gives you.
I have a Champion Triumph 40 with a glass re-locker and interior lighting.
You should looking into lighting it makes the safe so much nicer
Here is a pic of what lights can do to a safe (not my safe – only my wife and I see inside mine)

Excellant advise. So glad we went larger. Only problem is it won't fit through an interior door in the house. I love the Heritage brand. Damn near water tight as well. The 1250lb weight made moving it a bitch a few months ago. It will also make stealing it a bitch though too.
