UPDATE: Free for pickup in Flagstaff, AZ

The dealership forgot to bolt the skid plate back on after an oil change, and it fell off on my way home... They ended up putting a brand new one on after I described the situation. Skid plate is in decent condition, couple dents from wheeling, but no impact to protection.

People can barely give these away and you’re selling it after you got a new one for free. Smh.

    Wtf... fell off??

What part came loose? Didn’t it tear anything up? How fast were you going??

Holy crapolla Batman.. I’m not a litigious person but I would go apeshit. You or someone you were with could have been killed. I just came down from Flagstaff last weekend and can’t imagine going 70mph and that thing coming loose and buckling up.

    Am I over reacting?

The skid plate bolts were not replaced (or not tightened) after they changed the oil. Somehow it held in place initially. Fortunately I was only going 40-50 on a relatively quiet road. Heard a sudden scratching sound, thought I must have hit something on the road pulled over immediately and the skid plate was hanging from the front clips... I laid into the service manager, and insisted they give me a refund and repeat the entire inspection.

If you can't even trust the dealer to do proper work...
