You should get an old canvas army tent; they don't breathe at all. You park one of those in the sun and put 60 people into it and you won't need any heaters. Air conditioners, maybe, but not heaters

    Good evening ,

Well, lift is finally in :goingcrazy: Extra leafs worked out great and yielded the same amount of lift as when the block spacers were in. Yes, they’re gone ! I know, about time. :anonymous:

Everything went in easy easy. A big thanks to Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road.

I think I gained about 3/4” in the front. Truck is sitting pretty level. Took it for a ride.......OMG What a difference. Firm but smooth. Gonna drive it for a couple days then get an alignment this weekend.

I'm going to the Back to the Future event thing tomorrow night. I guess there's going to be a discussion panel with Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson and Tom Wilson. I looked into what it would cost to meet them / take photos and it's like $384 a person, and then $999 if you want to actually spend time with them, get autographs.

I'm a HUGE BTTF geek, but that's insanity. I'll spend the $60 to get in and see what the panel is all about.

Looks great! Now that I've got the cap I'm kicking myself I didn't do the OL spring. I should get back on the horse and just do it. It would give me something to bolt my brake line clamps to as well, but I also don't want to over-extend the rear shocks.

What's going on guys New Hampshire resident/ newer member I figured I'd throw this out there on this thread considering we all have one thing in common, SNOW. Aka a shit ton of salt on the roads. I did some research in other threads about the whole "undercoating" ordeal. 1. are will it void a warranty? I ask because I read in a post that 2 dealer's said it would??

    2. What would you guys recommend? An oil based undercoat diy?
Thanks in Advanced any help or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

Back home from the Sesame Street Place trip. Did the park Tuesday and Wednesday. Then today we hit up the Crayola Experience.

Have to say the kids (all 3 of them since we went with my buddy who also has a 2 year old) did really well. A small tantrum here or there, but nothing crazy nor lasted too long.

My oldest was the adventurous type. We did a small roller-coaster, and a few other high speed rides. And he also did a few of the bigger water slides by himself.

All in all it was a great trip. Glad to be home.

Welcome aboard. A bunch of us get fluid film sprayed on the undercarriage. And never heard of it voiding any warranty. Maybe someone else knows more about that than I do.

Fluid Film is the solution you're looking for. Easy to apply, will wash off if so desired with some effort and has been highly effective, thusfar.

I've used it now each winter since 2012. My 2013 looked brand new after the winters of 2012 through 2016 and my 2016 has looked factory fresh since new.

Fluid Film is the brand name of the product. You can get it at Grainger. Kellsport sells a fantastic kit if you've got a compressor.

I go overboard...maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon and a few spray cans for the bottoms of the doors, rockers, fender lips and bottoms of the front fenders / cap corners.

Perfect does it dry at all or should I let it sit for any out of time after applying?

Never truly dries. My 2013 had so much in the box rails by the cats it would weep out during the summer. My 2016 isn't there...yet, but it will get there.

I will caution it makes working on the truck gross. Both of my lift installs ruined a shirt and involved lots and lots of disposable gloves, but it sure beats broken fasteners.

Fan expo...I've been to some...The thing that people forget/miss etc is that you need tickets to the fan exp $35 AND the BTTF event $20+...Some people just buy the $20 and don't realize they need admission as well and then it's sold out :)

My wife paid some ungodly amount for a meet and greet with Ralph macchio a few years ago...and I was just tagging along and still got to do all the same stuff... tee hee...And then when it was time for the picture he was like "Are you getting in it too?" and I said "I don't want to ruin the magic" he laughed...

The BTTF photo they have listed is $384 and they said "includes up to 3 of your friends" but what I wonder is do they expect each friend to pay $384. I mean...$130ish isn't terrible to get the whole cast together, but in the same, I'm not a Comic-Con type at all, so it's a weird place to be.

BTTF is my favorite movie, but I'm not obsessed with it in the way people are with Star Wars / Star Trek either (I've actually never seen any of those movies in either series). Part of me feels like meeting / interacting with the cast now would ruin the illusion. Like I don't think Michael J. Fox is a Toyota Pickup fanatic, or longs to cruise around in a DeLorean. If it were someone like Paul Walker who was genuinely a gearhead, it would be a completely different story.

I typically do it in the fall, as part of my winterization efforts...it likely makes more sense to do it when it's warmer as the warmth will help the viscosity situation...this week would have been perfect, but the last thing I'd have wanted to do in the blazing heat is smell Fluid Film. i still dry heave when I'm around it.
