ECU TSB Update

This also bodes very well in my mind for future updates from Mat. The underlying issues that affect the OEM calibration also affect OVtune to an extent.

 

Do we just ask the service department to check for the tsb?

 

Go in and complain of a surge around 40mph and ask them to use the Techstream and perform a health check. The techstream will display that there is an ecm update available and ask them to do the update for you.

IIRC @Ruggybuggy is MY 18. And was the first '18 adopter of the OV Tune. (New ECU). He's danced this dance many times... I'll follow his lead on this.

@Trident904 looks like the m/t issues are being addressed also.

 

That how the tsb reads but I only had a issue in second gear right after the shift from 1st and the truck would stutter then clear up. I does happen in third but you don't feel it as much because of the different ratio. With the new software it's gone and the truck is very smooth. If you go complain of exactly how the tsb reads and you should be able to get the software update.

Ruggybuggy are u a toyota tech? I've never done any kind of flash and I understand toyota is stingy with their info and or updates. Truck throttle has always been sluggish and or mushy feeling.
