Howdy everyone, I'm a longtime tacoma owner (2004 4wd TRD). I'm looking at buying a used double cab to fit the whole fam damily.

I have found a nice 2013 d-cab trd that I may go check out. The dealer says that it has a "suspension leveling kit". I emailed for additional info and was told that it has "tuff country uni-ball upper control arms, with bilstein shocks, and 285-70-17 tires. The lifts purpose is to level the truck, its a 2" level". I called the dealer in an attempt to get more specifics but its obvious they know even less than me about lift/level.

I have never dealt with a lifted/leveled vehicle before. I just spent some time reading the "lift sticky" on this website and feel like i learned a bit about the lingo and general principles. I realize that the dealer's description leaves a lot to be desired. Any thoughts? Could this simply be bilstein 5100's up front to provide 2" of level? Would 5100's require the UCA's? Anything in particular that you would recommend i look at when checking out the truck specifically related to the lift/level? Is 2" of lift/level typically enough to fit 285-70-17 tires?

Any pointers on what to look for and/or look out for would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers!
    KT
