I'm sorry, leaving Offutt in December. Give me a shout if you need anything, be back from this deployment in August. You already have a sponsor?

Omaha really isn't bad. Like anything else, it is what you make it. Nebraskans are ignorant and love the state but when you ask them why they don't have an answer. "You can hunt, fish, hike, etc etc" but when called on for locations, good luck.

There are a handful of places to go, but it really is a waste of midwest land reserved for farms, and a bunch of colleges. Offutt field house is badass, will miss it immensely; you have the college world series, the Taco Trail if you're into biking, and other big cities within 2 hours reach.

Not a bad area if you're a homebody with a family, depending on budget, and what you're willing to commute opens up a lot of different areas.

As far as your truck, there's a local group called Good Times Offroad - bunch of Nebraskan redneck characters with mud toys that set up pretty awesome events. Then ~2 hours SW you have Tuttle Creek in KS.

Thanks. My assignment out there has been cancelled. Sucks, because it was short notice, would have been there in October, and FINALLY got my wife on-board with moving lol. She's born and raised where we are now, and has never been anywhere before. Oh well... I guess I'll just wait for the next one to come down the pipe.

Enjoy Florida my man. Not worth the move in the slightest hahah. It is always nice to change up the monotony, but if the important half of you has family in the area you can't beat that support.

Congrats on dodging Offutt...you're now assigned to Minot :D

Glad you get to stay in FL with family for now. But home is where you make it.

Best thing to do is leave NE the good news is that Colorado is close. So if you’re heading to ND the same may be true but you’re close to MT.

Pretty sure you can get on TW from out that way. That’s not confirmed, just hearsay...
