I have hard factory smoke stack fallout stains on my ceramic coated paint. Its been Arctic Coated*. Looks like hard water marks. Its smooth to touch. I hand wash the truck after every set of shifts, 3-5 days max.
Ive tried ironx and theyre still there.

Is there any ceramic safe remedies for this. Can I clay bar ceramic, or nanoskin it?

I’m assuming you have a professionally installed coating.

Yes you can clay it. Removal of a ceramic coat requires buffing it off. Clay bar won’t harm it.

I would not use a nanoskin product just clay. Nanoskins increase risk of marring and it sounds like you may want to clay more frequently so I’d just stick to old school clay.

Ive never used a nanoskin mitt b4 but i have some mild clay. Should be fine as long as I use alot of lube. I used a mothers lube before the ceramic coating when I clayed. Are products like this instant detailer suitable for ceramic or would dish soap n water be ok?A0FU_1_201708151893740832.jpg

Instant detailer is fine for ceramic. Leave the dish soap for dishes.

May want to contact the detailer who applied the coating & have them look at it for their opinion. Not sure if the coating came with any type of guarantee or not.

Thank you sirr. I have all kinds of instant detailers. Just stopped using them and started using the ceramic "reload" product the company makes

It was an insurance claim but ya they know about it and have given me suggestions. Ironx. I will try this one last time before i bring it back to them. I dont mind drinking beer and detailing the truck tho. Ill post pics of what the spots look like.

So this is after 1 shift. It rained so this isnt half as bad as it usually is. Its usually fuzzy20180809_185006.jpg since then I washed, ironx it, clayed only the hood, and applied the ceramic companies maintenance spray. Looks good from far but there are harrd stains on it still and spots of discolouration all over the place. Ironx and clay bar did not remove this stuff. Im stumped now20180810_203723.jpg 20180810_201158.jpg 20180810_201114.jpg 20180810_201050.jpg 20180810_192222.jpg

IronX isn't going to remove those water spots. Also every time you clay you are typically introducing some degree of marring to the coating.
Some people have a hard time with water spotting on ceramic coatings. You can do a search on this problem.
If there still there after you wash then perhaps try some white vinegar. You or the company that installed the coating may have to polish it out and reapply. But then this is going to keep happening. You may have to find a different type of paint protection!
Sounds to me like your in a no win situation if this industrial fallout is bombarding your truck all the time.

I was going to try carpro water spot removal.
This is so time consuming keeping the paint clean. I might be that guy and get a truck cover for the parking lot

I was going to suggest that as a good solution for your situation.

Exactly, 4-5 minutes putting it on is nothing compared to an hour washing all the time. Less washes + stay shiny longer
Im guessing a large suv size would work
