Do y’all have gaps in this location on your 2nd gen softopper? I’ve tried adjusting the rear tension straps but all that does is make wrinkles on the sides near the rear.
I mounted the rails to the exact distance front to back that they say to but maybe I need to move the mounting rails further forward, toward the cab, to close this gap (you can actually see the rear window bar in the 2nd pic)? It's like the bar is too wide but it matches the side brackets perfectly. The side brackets can't be moved inward due to how the mounting brackets fit in the rails so side to side isn't adjustable.

Mine did when I had it. It drove me nuts enough to sell it and get a hard topper.

That's what I'm thinking. I'll have to check the front tomorrow to see how it'll alter it up there but last time I looked, the front fit perfectly.
If there must be a gap, I'd rather it be in the rear.

Mine did that. I slid the entire top forward. Perfect now

I just looked at it. The plastic bar mount clips are slid all the way rearward. By sliding them forward, I can close that gap by about 1”, which I think will be perfect. I’ll try it as soon as it quits pouring rain.

I adjusted this and the gap is completely closed on the DS and 85% closed on the PS. I’m content with that!
