2017 ECT control question

I am not sure if this has been asked before but can the ECT be used constantly without damage to the transmission. I like the transmission shifts so much better with it on. I have heard gas mileage will suffer but mine is not that great anyway! I have the 2017 V6 SR5 two wheel drive.

 

It's not an issue at all.

But you should go to the dealership and request the newest TSB update for the surge instead and that will make the truck run even better than ECT while in normal mode.

Either T-SB-0058-18 or T-SB0062-18 will do.

there is a mod sold on this forum that turns on the ECT when you start the truck. I and many others have installed it.
