    2015 Double Cab Tacoma
:)Hey everyone! I’m new to TW, but I’ve read many threads over the years when researching anything and everything that has to do with Tacos.

I have a 2015, 4x2, Double Cab :taco:that I’m in love with. I bought it bc I wanted to be able to haul stuff without having to bother someone to help and bc the roads here in PR are currently not in the best state and I needed something that could take a beating while maneuvering them.

I always tell anyone that’s considering buying a Tacoma, “Go for it, you won’t regret it!” I know I haven’t! I’ve never modded it as I don’t have the tools, expertise, or mula, but in the future I hope to be able to do some neat stuff to my truck. Any ideas, tips, tricks are welcomed!

I also figured this would be the place to get some good insight and expertise on the best way to transport my paddle board.

It’s a 10’6” all around SUP which I recently bought. I used to do lots of snow boarding at Big Bear, but once I moved to PR...well, I can’t find local snow I miss getting out on a board so I started researching something I could do almost anywhere and obviously SUP Boarding popped up.

I went out a few times and liked it so I bought a board.

My issue is that I don’t feel comfortable transporting it on a soft pad removable roof rack system if I want to go long distances and at the moment I can’t quite afford a nice system.

    Experts, I want your advice!

The only pic I have of my truck right now is from after Hurricane Maria. My church had been taking supplies to people in the mountains that were immobile. That’s my pastor in the pic, not me. I’m camera shy :)

Welcome to TW buddy! For a paddle board that long you are going to have to get a bed rack that lines up with your roof so it can hang over.

Ok, thanks for the advice! Are there any racks you suggest? I’ve read about Prinsu and Front Runner

The Prinsu and Frontrunner are roof racks but they do make bed cap versions … of course you would have to buy a bed cap to mount them on. The KB Voodoo is probably going to be the cheapest but I'm not sure if they ship them outside of the continental US.

That’s a pretty slick bed rack. I’ll look into it and see if they ship to PR
