I have seen a lot of posts regarding the 3rd light leaking into the cabin.
In AZ dealers have acres of cars/truck parked outside and was wondering if those brand new trucks have the water inside the cabin on the lot before being sold. How is the dealer dealing with this? Going to buy a new truck and is already wet and smelling like mold? What is dealer's excuse?
Some lower states have a lot of rain and those trucks on the lot could be soaked by now.

I would think the issue is pretty much fixed now, if i am not mistaken there was an issue with incorrect torque on the screws which damaged the gasket and caused the leaks.

Yes correct, I'm not exactly sure when the issue was fixed but no 18s have been reported leaking. Of course ,it's too soon to tell, but I would suspect the new ones built have been addressed

    Working on them
Before I purchased my truck that was one of the concerns that I went hard after the Toyota Shops about and the incorrect torque was part 1 and the second part was substandard quality gasket material that did not compress and properly fill the area that it was placed in. (I will be watching very close tho)

Simple, they pull them into the service department like you do and they open a repair order. Do what it takes to get the truck fixed and send the bill to Toyota

The TSB for this issue states the VIN number change so it isn't an issue on a new truck.

Here in Ky, with all the tremendous downpours we have endured. I been waiting almost 2 months for replacement. It has arrived and sched to install this Wed. Mine has leaked so much there has been water standing in storage and in Weathertech mats, rear seat and headliner soaked, numerous times
