Hey guys. I bought my 2011 TRD Off-road new and am just getting into building it.

Bought a lift package with Bilstein 5100s, 887 coils up front, add-a-leaf in the rear.

Also bought some 17x8 +0 (4.5” backspacing) wheels and 275/70R17 tires.

Any advice? Do you think I’ll need anything else besides an alignment?

You’ll need UCAs to get your alignment back in spec with the 887s.

I am hoping I won't need them. If I do need them, then I will get them.

That's the exact same setup I have. I did the 3aal for the rear. Same wheel and tire size too. I do have SPC ucas with mine. I love it, it rides better than it did with stock OR suspension. The only complaint is the rear spring creaks a little. I have a DCSB.

Great minds think alike. I didn't really look into it enough or else I would have gotten the 3 leaf. Oh well, hopefully it doesn't ride too rough.
Did you try it without the UCAs? If I can get a proper alignment without them, I won't be getting them.

With the wider wheel and different offset (positive scrub radius), how does it handle under acceleration and braking?

    Thanks in advance.

I did the same lift. Rides great. Didn’t change uca’s, but I’m 3rd gen so don’t know if that would make a difference.

I did not try without the UCAs. I read a lot on TW and the consensus was you are better off with them. I figured I would do everything at one time and be done with it. I went with the 3aal because most people said it wouldn't be as stiff as a single aal because you get the lift by the thickness of the spring pack instead of the arch from the single aal. I'm very pleased with the whole setup. I don't do a lot of off-roading so I didn't need to go much further with lift kits. I went with Icon rebound 17" wheels with 0 offset and BFG KO2 tires 275/70r17. They do rub a little on the front mud flaps when I back up with the wheels turned. I heated the mud flaps to make clearance and stopped it. I could remove the mud flaps but I just didn't. It handles great.

Thanks for all the help guys.

My original order of wheels and tires ended up not being available so I had to change that up a bit and then one of the new wheels was damaged on delivery so it took way longer than I expected to get everything together for the install. I also ended up buying some "cheap" Tuff Country UCAs while I was waiting for my wheels & tires. Ended up going with Raceline Surge 18x8 +15 wheels with 265/70R18 Hankook Dynapro HT RT12 114T tires.

With the lift and the 2" taller tires I gained 4" in the front and 3" in the back and got rid of the taco lean. It still sits just slightly nose down, which is better than slightly nose high. I have a slight rub at a full right turn on the front passenger mud flap, but nothing major. No vibrations, thankfully.

Now I just need an alignment and to have the new tire pressure sensors programmed into the vehicle. Also have to adjust my headlights before I do any night driving.

5100's @2.5 and add a leaf. 255/80R17 Cooper ST Maxx.
I I also have 5100 and I just ordered tuff country standard ball joint uca. I'm running 255/80 r17 on a 8.5 wide with 4.5 back space. Do u think you can take a picture of your suspension set up. Also how did ur alignment turn out. Mine with stock uca can only get 1.5 degrees caster and .5 camber.

I don’t have a good picture of the suspension on my phone at the moment and it’s winter with lots of snow and ice packed in the wheel well so I think you’re out of luck on that end. I have a picture of the alignment, though. My lower control arm bolts were siezed on both sides, so they couldn’t Get the camber adjusted. I haven’t resolved the issue yet, so I’m riding around a little off right now. Rotating often. Drives and rides fine, looks a little off if you look close.A4BF1E75-AA40-4660-8D23-E069D44D4DE7.jpg
