Did you hook this to the stock speakers. I have replaced all four of my stock speakers so it should be a good improvement. Amp and sub next but need to wait till it fits in the budget again...

let me retract my previous post....I ended up getting the controls to work today.

Turns out the T-taps I was using weren't quite small enough for the gauge wire on the factory harness so they weren't getting a connection. I bought some different connectors and they work like factory!

The PAC SWI-ECL2 won't work for the steering wheel controls?

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I think you can just tap into the wiring and save your $.

OK, had the model installed for a couple days now. I am at a 8 out of 10 right now on the liking it scale

2 things to get two points back:

my ipod (2nd gen itouch) might be causing the ipod on the 726e to be buggy. Takes a long time to load, if you interrupt while it is loading artist or albums, it pretty much freezes. It catches up but a little slow, acts just like a computer low on ram. My ipod is loaded to full 32g, so there is a lot of data to load. Might be my issue because the ipod is so loaded. Anyone else notice this? Oh and I am using the eclipse accessory ipod w/video cord.

sirius sat radio using ecl-sc1 and toy sc1, works great, sounds crystal clear, all the stations show up, artist, album, but it will not hold presets. Load them all up, turn off the truck and they are gone. All the other pre sets hold, AM, FM, bluetooth settings. So I know my accessory is hooked up, or so I think it is. When the truck is off, should you be able to eject the disc? Are there any lights on? Any clues to see if it has power while ignition is off? I know I could take it out and check, but I am 100% positive it is hooked up. THe only thing I didn't hook up is the blue power antenna off the harness, but I don't have one so why have it hooked up. Any thoughts?

ok, update on the ipod issues. I swapped ipods and took put the itouch 2g and replaced with 3rd gen ipod video 30gb, my old school back up. It works a ton better. That works out fine for me, because I will just make it my dedicated car ipod. It seems to load faster to the eclipse, and hasnt frozen on me yet. I hit artist selection on the eclipse and it loaded right up. A ton faster than the itouch 2G.

So I am giving a point back, and am now rating a 9 out of 10. I sent an email to eclipse about the sirius presets problem. Will see what they say.

Not sure about he sirius presets as I don't have the satellite radio on mine. My iPod Nano 8GB loads up at lightning speed. I'm hoping to find an old iPod classic with a broken screen to use as a dedicated truck iPod. If anyone has one let me know.

The unit shouldn't let you eject discs when the truck is off I don't think.

My 30GB Video did bugg out when I first plug it in and try to turn the volume up. It will lag. I since hen added a AudioControl EPIC Four.1 EQ and used that as my volume so no more problems. As for the Sirius...I have the Eclipse SIR-ECL1 tuner and I have preset my channels I listen to and they don't disapprear.

Maybe it is my tuner that is causing the problems. Because I am using the toy-sc1. The model that is made for the factory stereo. I bet that is it. I guess it would be a good idea to change that tuner and see if that works.

Before spending more $, I would contact Directed and find out if that is the problem.

"pin 6 on the Toyota steering wheel harness (white with red stripe) goes to a ground"

has to be the same ground as the HU or else it will be buggy, this is what eclipse tech support told me.

buggy as in the only button that works is the mode button? I have this issue...

At first, I tapped into the parking break wire, which is in turn spliced into the ground for the HU...the unit would only recognize the mode button. So i moved the white/red wire to it's own ground, and still only mode comes up.
