Factory TriFold Hard Tonneau Problems

Need your help,
What happened to days where the people who worked in the parts department where car guys?
It seems now they are all computer geeks,
Every time i go to my dealer for a part they has an issue unless its an oil filter or brake pads. Ask for anything out of the normal and watch the expression on their face, especially with the factory tonneau cover,
I had an issue a while back and it a Tacoma World member that helped me by supplying the correct part number.
Now I have another Issue and again my parts department is confused, unsure and blaming Toyota. I broke the clasp on the nylon safety strap, that holds the cover together when folded open.
Any help would be great.

one of my biggest pet peeves, non standard parts.

 

I’m having the same deer in the headlight look when I ask for this part. They can figure it out to order me one either. It snapped when I was removing my cover to bring home a new riding mower back in March, I’m still looking.

 

I need that same part

 

I have the same part missing on mine too.
