Would this be a tasteless mod to do to the factory wheels?

I currently have the black vinyl installed on the OEM wheels just because I don’t like the silver on the outsides.

Anyone plasti dip their wheels a different color other than black?

I’m considering bronze or a dark gold color.

Well I guess it’s a cheap mod, so not a bad idea.

I’ll grab supplies this week and do it on my Friday off.

Glad I have a few followers on this, so here’s the options. I’m thinking copper metalizer (top right) or brass monkey (bottom left)

    Which would y’all rather see?

I'd go copper or gloss bronze.

The burnt copper looks the closest to bright gold. So do that... or bright gold!

I don't think you can go wrong with Bronze on our trucks.... Even if it's on cheap steel wheels.

    20180813_185700~2.jpg

These will eventually go back on my T4R and I'll be plastidipping my set of black wheels in GOLD. I painted one wheel gold by accident before settling on the bronze and I loved it.

I painted and clear coated my OR wheels bronze. Imho, it looked much better than the machined silver and black look and got me through till I upgraded wheels. 5DE3B46E-4D34-44D2-A6F4-9DAB2168507F.jpgBCE3DCC6-32C1-4ECA-8914-2DEF2C765499.jpg

The gold was after one light coat, would definitely look better after a few more coats and a clear coat.

This was all in paint so results will vary with plastidip.
