So upset....So last night i was washing my truck and realized what i though had just been bird poop was actually damage to the paint near the fog light housing.

I'm not sure if this is normal (like from driving on freeway and rocks and stuff colliding) I have not felt anything hit my truck while driving. First noticed it about a week ago.

Could it be a cause of faulty paint? I also found some tiny spots of chipped paint on the hood. Now the only reason why im asking about it being due to poor paint job is because these areas got replaced and repainted due to a hit and run in a parking lot earlier in the year. Could the body shop have possibly done a poor job, or am I just overreacting and looking for someone to blame. Is this common for any others?

P.S I also just ordered the SSO bumper, after really considering a full bumper (victory 4x4), now that option maybe back on the table since it would pretty much cut that area off...here are some pics

Looks minimal. I've had rock completely dent in the panel beside my hood. A golf ball size dent.

I've also had a rock go through my fog light, another one shatter a hood deflector on a previous vehicle (and still chip the paint underneath).

Get a touch up pen and call it a day. Or, ceramic coat your car.

It's a ceramic coating that goes over your paint, protecting it from weathering, chips, etc. Google it, its pricey but amazing!

I bought it new, but it was repaired soon after i bought it due to a hit and run. Replaced that part with oem part and painted. I was thinking maybe they did a poor job with the paint.

I would agree...this area is painted over, but not even feathered.

Whats feathered mean? The body shop boasted about their lifetime warranty, would it be worth taking it back?

Feathering is basically knocking down the edge of the damaged paint...you can clearly see the edges of the previous damage. Lifetime warranty? I'd definitely be taking it back...

Yep, take it back. It appears that not only do you have chips from something, the paint has peeled. I've had that happen with paint repairs.
