Anyone up for doing the TN Dirt Devil? @2006offroad and I were talking about doing it (tho with his upcoming training schedule he will only get to see pics). I think in the fall when it cools off a little. What do you all think? Anybody else in?

I'm new to the Tacoma and would like to get outdoors much more with it. I'm just a pre-runner guy so I have to be realistic on what I can do. I mostly want to get the wife out and hopefully this will catch with her. :fingerscrossed:o_O:fingerscrossed:

I would be into that. I've not done much offroading mostly just some gravel and uneven roads. My biggest concern is my stock tires that I still have on my ride and how those would handle.

You should ask this in the
    Official Tennessee Thread
I imagine there are a couple people that would be willing to go with you. Myself included if it fits my schedule.

Its basically a gravel road with a few generally shallow water crossings (unless you go after a big rain...which I have done a few times because it's more fun..lol) Ben Fly road has the only spot I can think of that actually warrants 4 wheel drive when its rutted out on the hill climb after the first water crossing (think they re-graded it a few weeks ago though). Have fun, stay on the road as there is alot of private property along it and locals aren't friendly about trespassers.

I would possibly be down for this. Itd be a good fall ride if you time it for when the leaves are changing.

That's the plan. I have a buddy that has a jeep that he will NOT take off road. LOL I had to convince him it would be ok. I've got a bunch going on in October so thinking November might be good.

We went 2 years ago...and planned on going again. Hasn't happened yet. Depending on when, may be interested in tagging along again. Once date (s) are set I'll post back.

Someone should create an official group ride thread :)

Not me because I don't know the route, but definitely would want to join

Oct. 12th-28th is peak fall foliage for this year. I still think I'd be a beautiful ride during that time.

I thought about going to that, mine's of prerunner so there wouldn't be a whole lot of off-roading to do.

I've never done it that's why I asked about it, it's a series of trails in Middle Tennessee that are fairly easy to go on as I understand it. It's supposed to be very picturesque and fun. It's just a reason to get out and see the countryside.

It's a lot of fun. I had a busted cv axle that I couldn't get out and was stuck in 2wd last year. So i didn't get to wheel. But the are a lot of nice cool guys and rigs with passenger that probably be cool taking some beer for a passenger seat
