Looks to me like you hit some crazy debris in the road that you couldn't avoid. Sure sucks when that happens...

    Debris. In the road.

Op, how in the world did you not tag the exhaust pipe hanging down there? Looks like the cross members did their job of protecting the important stuff. If it aligns and you don't see any cracks or hear any weird creaks... paint that stuff up and put some full skids on. Don't tell the dealer, like others said, debris off road... errr... I mean on road, like the trim of your truck... errr, wait, I mean.... nevermind.

Sorry Op... couldn’t refrain from it either. It does look like yours will be OK, glad you didn’t break the exhast manifold, I put a dent on my crossover the first two weeks on a long offroad trip too. Reroute and Mobtown to the rescue for me, worries are gone now. There’s really good clearance underneath now, too. you will be happy to see the difference on yours!

Wasn’t on road when it happened. Riding Vedauwoo and was stupidly in tall grass for a moment when bam! Didn’t go back to look either. Got right to camp and checked the damage.

Haven’t been on here a while because been busy doing exactly what you thought I was. Painted front cross member, replaced tranny one, lifted with billies and 3 leaf progressive. Full set of rci sliders. All TSS works. Got about 2” in the front. Good as new.

Always go back to look at what you hit, and check the damage before you leave.. If for no other reason than to verify everything is ok, and still drivable. and nothing has broken off and is sitting there that you’ll have to go back for. You don’t want to be driving for miles while slowly leaking out an essential oil. You do not want to make things worse by causing unnecessary damage.

New skid plates looks good. Good idea.

Thanks on the skids. I was camped really close so wasn’t a problem to get somewhere easier to see under the truck. Because it looked good and no fluids didn’t see the need to go back in the tall grass. But good point.

I think you missed what @hoverlover was saying.

"You were just driving along, and then there was some debris in the road you couldn't avoid. No my truck hasn't been in the dirt, why do you ask?" is the story you need to stick to.

    Debris. In the road.

Does the bank know you're wheeling their truck?!?!?

Jk, looks like an honest mistake and you quickly figured out how to turn into lift and skids. Good work!
