When I fill from empty, this usually shows a bit over 500 miles of range on a 23 gallon tank.

 

Never buy on the first visit, unless price has been worked out prior to stepping foot on the lot. I walked 3, make that 4 times on this truck that I ordered, once after it was delivered.

 

Crazy! I'd be happy to see 18 mpg.

 

DANG! I don't mind buying on the first visit, as long as they meet/give me what I want. But walking might "scare" them into selling it, especially if they are hard up for the sale/money to make numbers for the month.

 

I do miss the MPG of my F150. On our trip to/around Baxter I averaged 14mpg, which isn't horrible for what the truck is, but 14mpg x 450 miles @ $2.80/gal cost me a C-note. The F150 would have been closer to $60-$65.

 

That's about what I saw on my 2011 Tacoma in the summer. 18-19. Maybe 21 on the highway if I babied it. Winter was bad--16 if I was lucky, sometimes 14-15.

Gonna drop the "hint" about her going to the dealership by herself tomorrow... see how that goes, and either give up on the idea, or possibly push for it to happen, with some ideas, arguments, and words of encouragement.

And gonna show her the "lovely" scuffs she put on my phone.

I'm doing alright. I'm 17-19 with the way she sits now with a little weight on her and duratracs.

 

Showed her the scuffs... Said she doesn't think she did it because the phone fell screen down. WTF! That's even worse.

 

If you're talking about the dedicated 4x4 trails in the park; I've heard they are straight up insane. Like to the point of making a couple hundred feet of progress after 1+hours. I could be wrong but, I thought that's what I've heard when researching them a bit.

Can't say I followed that rule. Found the truck/listing online, price was pretty close to invoice considering the add-ons with it, went for a test drive, negotiated a bit (got $272 taken off the price), ended up signing paperwork to "buy" it that day. Not the ideal situation but after driving 2.5hrs to go check it out (which they figured out), it having TRD Pro parts installed, & a 6-speed; I was sold

I'm sitting about the same depending on the kind of driving I'm doing; if I'm just commute to & from work I'll end up around 14-15 until I can stay at a consistent speed. It's going to be really interesting to see the difference after adding sliders & full skids.

 

She doesn't care about the scuffs. She wants you to show her the cuffs!

 

Haha I used almost 3/4 tank in VT this past weekend and the fuel economy came out to 19.2 + 3% at the pump haha.

Probably half the run time was highway and maybe the remaining was split 3/5 large stone fire roads and 2/5 "hill climbing" off road. I was in low range in the hills, too.

 

Surprise her with them sometime, then. If she's into it, cool. If she's not, whatever...she's already cuffed.

 

Mrs was a bit apprehensive about going to look and drive by herself tomorrow. Gave her some words of encouragement, made some points, and gave her tips.

Think she might give it a shot. Gonna follow up tonight

 

She's going to show up at the door tonight having jumped in with both feet, driving a $35k car that she paid $43k for.
