I added a rear cargo rack, then decided the factory bumper was too wimpy to hold it, so I had the welder who made the rack build me a beefy bumper

Yes, I had the rack built with dual receivers so it attaches right at the frame rails

Not TODAY... but I brought my new R-Pod 176 home on Friday. Within 6 hours, I had been up on the roof installing a MicroAir Easy Start. It makes the AC compressor really easy for my 2200W generator. Then I installed a Progressive Industries EMS, the hard wired kind, behind the converter. Gotta have protection!

Popped ours up and fixed some damage the kids did awhile back. Gave it a good sweeping and had a beer or 2 in it. Need to get some time off and take it out. Always nice having a beer in the pop up...lol

I would first like to thank @Lord Humongous for his write up on the external transmission cooler. I added one like him and it has helped during towing and slow off roading. I must mention that pinning the thermostat open does a huge service to the keeping the fluid cool when the torque converter unlocks in third and second gear. You all should think about doing this when towing heavy loads.

I think I'm the first person in here to post a toy hauler. We ordered this when we found out we were pregnant. We now have a 5 month old baby so we haven't towed it much. We tried taking it out last weekend but we had to go home on our second day without camping due to some other issues not related to truck, trailer, or baby.

It weighs 3600 dry and has three 50 gallon tanks. We carry 20 gallons of extra water when we go on dry camping trips because we explore abandoned mines and need to shower after each day due to lead and other ores being mined.

Let me know if you have any questions. It's a Dune Sport and they only do custom builds. We paid less for this than a Carson of similar size

    Hi @Lord Humongous
Thanks for starting this very informative thread, as well as your detailed build page on the truck. Lots of great ideas on both for how to get rid of all this extra cash that's burning a hole in my pocket:)

I've been looking to get a trailer and the 195rb in on the short list. Based on the thread start date, you've had yours about 2.5 years now. I was wondering if you would mind giving us a brief update on the Jayco, features you like, things you wish it had, any issues?
