Don't ever sell those first editions, I was in elementary when Pokémon came out, had so many 1st editions, kept through high school, then sold them. Will always regret it, not because of what they may be worth as collectibles, but because they're a priceless part of my upbringing and hobbies.
Will never again sell things like that.

If I ever have children they'll be getting my collections of action figures, comic books, Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon, Lego..... Or I may just keep them for myself, I don't think I'll ever grow out of it.

Yeah, i've sold most of my Pokemon cards, but like 10 years ago those two we're worth $300 a pop and I knew they'd continue to grow up. I'll give them to my kids and maybe use them to buy their first car or something. That's why they're locked away in a safe

I still have a shit ton of Yugioh cards as well, my youngest brother got into it recently but got bored of it quickly so the cards are back in my possession. Probably have about $1000 worth, I guess he went to local tournaments and won so the cards are relevant but he never went further and I never played with 'em besides like after elementary school. They're just sitting in a box in my garage to be honest, at least I hope so

 

That's why I figured you may sell since it's not sleeved..... I'm just trying to get a set of my favourites for display purposes. My prized ones are locked away as well...

 

Corners are bent but if it's just for a shelf or something?

 

I dug it up out of a drawer when I moved back home recently but didn't have any sleeves. Its in perfect condition though, just sitting on the desk upright so I hope it doesn't get damaged. Maybe I can find a sleeve somewhere...

 

I got them all as a kid so I can't reaaaaally judge. But its just something people collect my man. Pokemon specifically has been hugely popular for generations now, and it reminds people of their childhood. Popularity plus nostalgia = high dollar memorabilia

 

Damn.... That's straight up dog ears. I'll pass.....
