Not tacoma related but I need to find out if what I'm planning will work.

If I install this Jensen HU that has an HDMI in can I mirror my phone screen Via the HDMI with a lightning to HDMI adapter?
The tuner that will be used on the truck transmits data via Wifi to an app on a phone/tablet, and I would like to be able to display that data on the HU.

    DOH! :homer:

But you’re thinking of installing a touch screen correct? If the Jensen doesn’t allow mirroring via cable connect, this could be an additional step :notsure:

Correct, touch screen also has apple CarPlay, along with the HDMI in. It doesn't specify but I would imagine that the HDMI supports audio also.

Don’t know much about this specific headunit, so I did a quick Google.

Looks like all you need is one of these:
    https://www.amazon.com/Lightning-Ar...to+lig&sr=8-2-spons&ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa&psc=1

Based on my experience with Apple products, I’d check to see if Apple sells that adapter on their website first and grab it there even if it’s 3x the price cause you’ll know it works.
