Which wranglers do you have? I LOVE the wrangler SRAs. I have put that highway looking tire through some shit and it ALWAYS impressed me. Love that tire, unfortunately I don't have access to them. Tire associations limit my options some, although I may get access to them in the near future

Nope! I’m a ripe 25! Quit my fancy computer job and now I drive rigs over the road for a living. All lower 48. So when I come home I like to not have to climb up to get in my personal vehicle. No lift for me.

I'm in my 20s and my 2016 TRD OR is bone stock, haven't even gotten new tires on it. I'd like to get some tires that are a little more off-road capable and some new rims, maybe a lift in a couple years but nothing excessive with 2.5" at most. I'm going back to school and taking the automotive tech program and the additional trades authority apprentice levels so in theory when I actually have a career I enjoy and making a little better money I'll work towards the things I want after what I need.

All stock, except for removal of TRD stickers. Heck, I felt getting a TRD off road was a huge step up from what I normally purchase. I purchased it in mid May and just want to throw money toward paying it off. I don't consider it fully mine till the final payment.

Completely agree. I would even go so far as saying the tires are pretty capable too if you air them down to 20 psi or less. I have had no problem getting up relatively short (12"-24") rock ledges in the rain or up 30+ degree inclines in 4L with no discernible wheel slippage. I have also driven over some pretty sharp rock without getting a flat, you just have to go slow and pick the right line. I would recommend better skids and sliders though, for the peace of mind. It's only if you plan to do a lot of technical rock crawling, do you need anything more.

I should note that I did manage to blow the seal on the rear passenger shock after a long day of going up and down mountains and washboarded roads with about 700-800 lbs of payload. The other three performed fine though, so it might have just been a faulty seal. Beyond the armor, if I end up blowing another shock later, I might upgrade to reservoirs, but I would try to maintain the current lift if possible.

I’ve replaced the TRD stickers with black vinyl ones on the bed (2016 TRDOR DC, I also got mine in April of 2016 like the OP) and added amps and a subwoofer. The only other thing was replace the fog lights with LEDs, as one of my OEM housings shattered from road debris and it was cheaper to buy a pair of new aftermarket ones than replace the one OEM. I just rolled over 18k miles, so I’m a pretty low mileage driver on average.

My mods are all minor and cosmetic. I don't want to lift / change tire sizes, shocks, etc. Most of the time that causes other problems to arise down the road.

I’m all stock on my 18 OR. Well I have all weather floor mats and a bed mat if that counts. These things are machines stock.

Not a big mod person. I wanna switch out my front skid and upgrade my stereo. I do love my truck though and enjoy reading all the posts on here everyday even when I know I’m not doing 98% of things I read.

All stock here (Except for BAMF sliders and RCI skids) on my 2016 DCLB TRD OR. probably have over 600 miles off road. She is the most capable and versatile vehicle I have ever owned. Takes me everywhere in the backcountry I want to go and does it comfortably. I will never lift or put larger tires on as I like my MPG and knowing my suspension is staying as it was designed. When my stock GY Kevlar wear out she will get KO2s but other than that she will stay stock.

No lift, but I added a lot of metal parts.

All I've done is window tint, bed cover and bed mat. I'll add on predator steps but that's it until the stock tires wear out.

Love the truck so far 5k miles in

Damn, I love the way extended cabs look. If I didn't need the space I would have bought one.

Like @Amanelot, I'm 29 and had a previous vehicle- Wrangler- that I lifted and put 33's on an did the aftermarket heavy duty tire carrier thing and this and that and threw all kinds of money away for it to look cool and perform well (which it did, on both accounts.) but life happens and changes and now we have kids and are starting a farm so I got the truck now and I put lots of highway miles on pulling a trailer for my business. And yeah i guess I grew up. I want this truck to last 500,000 miles, getting decent mpg along the way and lifting and modding it isn't gonna help matters. I have a million other things to put money into now that I don't see wasting it on a depreciating vehicle as being sensible.

Truck is amazingly capable as it sits, I've taken it on some hairy trails and it's performed pretty impressively. It's all about the right tires, and clearance but I'm not trying to do any rock crawling with this. Even still I'm essentially stock, just replaced my worn out shocks with 5100s and did the AAL thing to accommodate the weight I have in the back from the camper shell and hauling and towing and whatnot. That's it. I'm happy as can be.
